Seoul Garden, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang(Korean Food)

Just came back from a wonderful dinner at Seoul Garden, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang. This is my regular joint for Korean Food. I’ve ate at this Korean joint for more than 2 years now and i still love to go to this restaurant if i ever crave for fresh Korean BBQ beef. Their Yang-Yom Galbi(marinated small ribs) and Galbi-Sal(boneless small ribs) are always my favorites order. When i was there 2 years ago, the boss of this restaurant taught me the proper way to eat the BBQ beef ribs. I was taught to wrap the beef ribs with chinese sang-choy(lettuce) together with some green chili and garlic dipped in the savory korean sauce and the salted sesame-oil .

They will also serve you with lots of side dishes or banchan which includes the yummy kimchi. After the grill pan was prepared, the waiter placed the garlic and onion first. Then, he will put in the ribs which was marinated with sesame oil and special korean sauce for BBQing. After the meat is cooked, the waiter will cut them into smaller pieces and turned them over to ensure they were fully cooked yet not burned.  Add a little of this and a little of that(banchan), then add in a piece of BBQ ribs, all wrapped in the lettuce and load it in your mouth, “NGAPPP”!!!…..Wonderfully Yummy!!!

The free flow of yummy side dishes or banchan(FOC) for wrapping the BBQ ribs with the chinese sang-choy(lettuce).

The yummy Kimchi.

My favorite Galbi-Sal, the boneless marinated small ribs(beef), woolalaa…!!!

Wrap the ribs in the chinese sang-choy(lettuce) together with some green chili and garlic dipped in the salted sesame oil and korean sauce.

Or you can add a little of all the side dishes or banchan together with the BBQ ribs wrapped in lettuce and load it in your mouth, “NGAPPP”…!!! Yummy!!!

Mum’s Place Peranakan Food

Thanks to fish4fun(Kenny) of MFN, now i’ve found the best Peranakan Food in Klang Valley/KL. He bought me to Mum’s Place at Damansara Perdana last monday and i tell you, the food there was superb. All with Peranakan authentic taste especially the Ikan Cencaru masak petai. Thr Rendang Daging and Udang Galah etc are also a must try dish. One unique thing about this restaurant is that it is actually a furniture shop. You will be dining at those ‘peranakan style’ furniture with price tag and if you like it, you can buy just purchase it. I like this new concept in Mum’s Place because i really enjoyed my food dining at those old fashion furniture and atmosphere.

Inspired by traditional home recipes, Mum’s Place brings you the goodness of Malaysian and local Portuguese cuisine. Our menu reads a variety of tempting dishes that will “excite” your palate. As for health conscious, there is no need to worry about indulging in our spicy fare, since our dishes are cooked with cholesterol-free palm oil.
It is a pleasure for us at Mum’s Place to share with you our recommendations on some of many dishes available. For curry lovers, we suggest the Portuguese Chicken Devil Curry. This house specialty stays true to its original recipe and is cooked with chilli and spices. Other local Portuguese dishes include Beef Slices, Beef Semur, Cencaru Fish with Chilli Paste, the local spicy Lemak Kuning Fish Head and Assam Pedas Parit Jawa Jenahak Fish. A special mention must be given to the Fried Otak-otak Cubes served with Thai Sauce with Shredded Onions , Mango and Chilli. You will be delightfully surprised by this dish, which is unlike the traditional ones wrapped in banana leaves. Seafood lovers are not left out as we also serve favourites such as the Udang Galah Noodle, Pan-Fried Tiger Prawns with Butter Garlic and the Sambal Petai Prawns. For the perfect finale to your meal, don’t forget to try out our desserts, which include the ABC (Ice Kacang), Cendol with Red Beans, Pulut Tekan with Kaya, as well as other traditional desserts.

Do drop by at Mum’s Place® and be enticed by the variety of good food set within a tropical homely ambience.
