My firewall got stupid, please help anyone?

Good morning

I am a noob when it comes to anything computer related. I acquired a mcafee antivirus...soft ware, that was from the college I go to. And after that and a virus scan, I could no longer use firefox or yahoo messenger. I got rid of them and downloaded them again, rebooted my mac hundres times, but nothing is working. I keep getting a message that something needs to be done with my fire wall and HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP ports.

Help someone?

If you think that problem came from your anti virus, just remove/uninstall the anti virus. Then see your firefox or YM can work or not..
p/s: by the way, I don't use mac, I'm using windows. Linux on fedora and ubuntu but just for basic server. :mrgreen:
